Robert Barton Englund (born June 6, 1947) made a guest appearance on Married... with Children as Lucifer, or the Devil, with whom Al makes a deal to sell his soul to him in order for the Chicago Bears to win the Super Bowl, only to regret it in the Season 11 episode "Damn Bundys". Robert is best known for originally playing the fictional serial killer Freddy Krueger, in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series.
Career[]
Robert received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors in 1987 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master in 1988. Despite his reputation for appearing in horror films, Englund is a classically trained actor.[1] He last played Krueger in the eighth film in the franchise, Freddy vs. Jason, which was made in 2003.
In 2014, Robert dressed as the dream demon one last time for fans to take a photo with him at a convention.
