Moon river

Peg enjoying the spotlight as she sings Moon River

Moon River is a 1962 song written and composed by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer. Onscreen it is primarily associated with the Audrey Hepburn film "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

It is heard in the season 3 episode, Eatin' Out. The opening line of the song is sung by Al and Peg at different times, while the 2nd verse is sung by Peg while she dances with Al.

It can also be briefly heard at the end of the season 8 episode, What I Did For Love, when Al chases Peg around pleading for sex in exchange for food and then starts singing the opening line to her.

Lyrics as heard in the episode Edit

Moon River,

wider than a mile...

Two drifters,

off to see the world

There's such a lot of world to see

We're after the same rainbow's end,

waiting round the bend

My Huckleberry Friend,

Moon River and me
