Leonard Van Pelt is a character who appears in the Season 6 episode of Married... with Children titled "Al Bundy, Shoe Dick". The part of Vanessa is played in the episode by Frank Lloyd, who appears in various roles in a total of 15 episodes from Seasons 1-10, most notably as Norris, a teammate of the Bundys on the New Market Mallers softball team.
In the episode "Al Bundy, Shoe Dick", Al, who applies for a cleaning job to clean the office of private eye Jack Dallas (played by MWC co-executive producer Ron Leavitt), finds himself mistaken for the famed PI by Vanessa Van Pelt, a young buxum, leggy femme fatale who fears that her family members may interfere with her expected bequest of a priceless gem from her uncle, Colonel Van Pelt (John Randolph). Before Al can act, Col. Van Pelt is murdered, and the gem disappears... and Al is fingered, as he figures out the real theif of the family gem, and the murderer of Col. Van Pelt.
When "Shoe Dick" Al rounds up the clan to reveal the culprit, he looks at the nerdy son Leonard, who seems to be mentally retarded and/or doesn't to have a clue at all in life; When Al accusses him saying "You...Come on Leonard, admit it! You were the criminal mastermind who put this dastardly plot together...What do have to say!?", he replies. in a child-like naievete manner, "Daddy?"
