Quotes[]

  • [Al and Peg enter the house after returning from "Parent-Teacher Night" at Bud and Kelly's schools. Peg is holding a poster board in her hand.]
  • Bud: Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad! Kelly said she's upstairs listening to the radio and dancing. [Peg and Al give Bud an angry look] Oh, you two look pretty mad. But in Kelly's defense, wait 'til after she's turned in her book report. We owe her that much.
  • Peg: Kelly is not the problem, Bud. She has moved up to a good, solid "D". [sighs] Now, you're the one who's in trouble. We went to your school and saw your social studies report, you know, "Brazil: Land of Rubber and Sunshine". Would you care to explain this picture of your sister in a bikini?
  • [Peg holds up a poster titled "Brazil" with an image of a smiling sun next to it. In the middle is a picture of Kelly in the backyard, wearing a pink and black bikini, and looking surprised as she holds a garden hose]
  • Bud: Well, it illustrates the easy sex in Brazil... So, how did I do?
  • Peg: [sighs] Like your father in life, you failed!

  • [A Chicago PD Officer brings Steve and Marcy, who are dressed up as a U.S. Navy Sailor and a prostitute, to the Bundy residence to confirm who they really are. Al chuckles upon seeing them.]
  • Police Officer: Excuse me sir, do you know these people?
  • Al: [grins while hesitating] Mmm, no!
  • Steve: Al! [jams the door before Al fully shuts it] Please?!
  • Police Officer: We picked them up for soliciting at a Joe's Cocktail Lounge.
  • Steve: I told you officer, we were just role playing [to Marcy, mockingly] ...to spice up our marriage... and we lost our I.D. when we were running from you.
  • Marcy: [nervously] It's all a big mistake. Tell them who we are, Al!
  • Al: [grinning] Eh, it's the neighbors, the hooker and the sailor.
  • Police Officer: I see, just a little yuppie game play, huh? [the three of them chuckle, before the officer immediately stops and becomes serious] Well, let me tell you something about police! We don't like it when you jerk us around! I could be out there scaring kids or driving with the siren on! So next time you want to put some fun in your marriage, do what me and my wife do... cheat on each other! [he winks at Steve and exits]

  • Peg: Who's Barbie?
  • Marcy: [shocked] "Who's Barbie?"! America's favorite teenage fashion model, that's who!
  • Peg: Oh, you mean a Barbie doll! Yeah, I had one of those! I gave it my boyfriend, Keith, as a symbol of our love... he was gay as a debutante, you know?

  • Marcy: [entering the Bundy residence] Steve, we've been robbed! They took my Barbie!
  • Peg: Not the one you were saving to give to your daughter?! [Steve looks at Al as he realizes what he has done]
  • Marcy: And it was someone we know! They went right for her! Steve, find them! Find them and kill them! [pauses] No, don't kill them. Bring them to me. I'll kill them. But not at first. First I'll take a hammer, and smash their toes, little to big. Then, if it was a man, [turns to Peg] and I know it was a man, I'll turn the hammer AROUND! [gestures turning a hammer in the opposite direction, causing Al to grimace]
  • Steve: [in a high pitched whimper] Al...?!

  • [Al and Steve return to the Bundy residence with Marcy's Barbie. They both look disheveled and have visible injures on their faces after getting into a fight with a motorcycle gang]
  • Steve: Well, some of my teeth are loose, but we got her!
  • Marcy: Oh, Steve...
  • [Marcy quickly walks over to him and looks over the doll. She then shoves it back into Steve's chest and becomes upset]
  • Marcy: THAT'S NOT MY BARBIE! My Barbie has a little crescent shape cut on the heel of her left foot...[begins to sob] She got it while jogging on the beach with Ken... YOU DON'T LOVE ME! [walks back to the kitchen counter and cries]
  • Steve: [slowly turns to Al] Al, those motorcycle guys hurt me.
  • Al: [depressingly] I know they did. [they both turn around and head out the door]
