Fergie (Born March 27, 1975 as Stacy Ann Ferguson and usually credited as Stacy Ferguson in her acting roles) is a pop vocalist and actress, primarily known for her work with two music groups (The Black-Eyed Peas and, before that, Wild Orchid)…and as a solo artist.

She appeared on Married...with Children in the season 8 episode, Nooner or Later as Ann.

Music[]

She began her music career in 1990, as part of the vocal trio Wild Orchid; the other two members being fellow Kids Inc. alum Renee Sandstrom, and Stefanie Ridel. The girls performed at nightclubs and charity functions, while waiting for a record label. In 1994, they were signed to RCA Records; they released a self-titled debut album in 1996...along with their first single, "At Night I Pray".

In 1998 they released their second album, Oxygen, and followed that up with Fire in 2001. Neither album duplicated the success of their first, and RCA dropped them later that same year. She left the group in September 2001, citing frustration with the trio's image, besides dealing with drug addiction. Ridel and Sandstrom finally disbanded Wild Orchid in 2003.

During a performance with The Black Eyed Peas in 2001, Fergie exchanged numbers with will. I. am, one of the founding members of the group, to add vocals to a new single the group was working on. She was eventually brought on as a full time member of the group and adopted the stage name Fergie. She made her debut with them on the 2003 album, Elephunk and remained active with the group until her departure from the band in 2018.

In 2006 she released her first solo album, The Duchess, which was exclusively produced by will. i. am; it released singles such as "London Bridges", "Glamorous", and "Big Girls Don't Cry". Ten years later, she followed it up with another solo album, Double Duchess.

On February 18, 2018, it was officially announced by will. I. am that she had left The Black Eyed Peas. In an interview with Billboard in June 2020, the group confirmed that she had wanted to focus on raising her son; yet all four were still on good terms, and wished her all the best.

Acting Career[]

She began voice-acting in the 1980s, providing the voice of "Sally Brown" for several Peanuts cartoons. She then started with Kids Incorporated, for which she holds a record as the show's longest-running cast member. She has appeared on numerous sitcoms, including Mr. Belevedere (as Brice Beckham's love interest) and California Dreams (teaming her with Jay Anthony Franke, the pizza delivery-man from season 5's "Al...with Kelly"). Her film credits include Grindhouse: Planet Terror and Poseidon (both of which, unfortunately, find her character killed off). She has lent her voice to other TV series, such as Rocket Power, and to such movies as Madagascar 2.

Personal Life[]

In 2009, she married actor Josh Duhamel - the two first met on the set of NBC's series Las Vegas - in a Catholic ceremony. Four years later the couple welcomed a son, Axl. In 2017, she and Duhamel separated; they filed for divorce on June 1, 2019.

She has admitted experimenting with drugs, particularly ecstasy, since her Wild Orchid days. She moved on to crystal meth, and became addicted before ultimately getting clean. She admits that meth is "one of the hardest boyfriends to break up with".
