Quotes[]

  • Al: This is a horrible hoax! This isn't an authentic Chuck's Cheesebowl cherry cheesecake! You went to the wrong place!
  • Marcy: I don't think there are a lot of Chuck's Cheesebowl's in Tunoose, Wisconsin... just a "belch and a holler!" from Wanker County. Where we met so many nice people who said wise things like, "I gots my own teeth!"
  • Jefferson: Yeah, and, uh, [lurches over while imitating a country accent] "I'll trade you my sister for your BIC lighter." [laughs while scratching himself]
  • Marcy : Oh yes, we had such a nice time. We must show you the slides of me getting fondled at the gas station by something that was half-man, half-owl.
  • Kelly:[smiles] Dad, they met Cousin Hooty!

  • Al: [sits on the couch with Buck and puts his arm around him]
  • Al:[sighs] Wrong cheesecake... [pats Buck] All I wanted in life was a rancid piece of Chuck's Cheese Bowl Famous Cherry Cheesecake, can't even get it! I'm so depressed! Why can't my life be as good as yours, boy?
  • Buck: Ugh, take a shower! [Al proceeds to hug him]

Trivia[]

  • As indicated by the production number, this episode was the 13th episode filmed, but the 14th episode to air.
    • This would explain why Marcy and Jefferson came back from their honeymoon in this episode, yet were at home and accustomed to living together in the previous episode, "The Godfather", despite just getting married in "Married... with Who?".
  • This episode is the first of 3 episodes during the show's run where the voice of Buck is played by Cheech Marin instead of Kevin Curran.
  • Peggy doesn't appear in this episode, though Al points out that she is in Wanker County she is briefly mentioned when she calls the house while Al is busy trying to find the whereabouts of Hans.
  • Jefferson and Marcy point out that Peggy was with them on their honeymoon to help them navigate through Wanker County into Tinuse, Wisconsin to get Al's cheesecake from Chuck's Cheese Bowl.
  • Kelly reveals that Jefferson and Marcy met "Cousin Hootie" after Marcy tells them about being fondled by a half man-half owl creature at a gas station in Wanker County.
  • Al demonstrates his hate of the French after trying to track Hans down.
  • Buck is revealed to be 9 years old.
  • Legendary blues singer/guitarist, B.B. King, makes a guest appearance as a street musician singing on a bus bench.
  • The items that the female dog frames Buck with include
    • Al's Slippers
    • Kelly's best bra
    • Kelly's CD and case
    • Bud's Game Boy
  • Rodney Kageyama makes a brief appearance as the restaurant owner. He is probably best known as Ito from the 1986 film, Gung Ho and Eddie in Showdown in Little Tokyo.
  • The restaurant in the alley that Buck stops at has a sign by the door that says "Home Made Pizza". The sign would later reappear in the season 8 episode "Scared Single", next to a pizza restaurant inside the New Market Mall
  • Bud is wearing his Reeper soccer jersey at the beginning of the episode. He previously wore it in "Married... with Who?".
  • In the original airing of the episode, instead of the still frame of Al and Peggy on the couch, the previous scene with B.B. King playing his guitar and singing on a bus bench continues on. In the Mill Creek DVD release, a still frame of B.B. King on the bench is shown, but the song remains intact.

Cultural References[]

  • After Buck is told by the chef to go away from the pizza restaurant, he says "And they keep saying that there's no recession". There was in fact a recession in the United States during the early 1990s.  It is possible that the chef was in denial.
  • At one point, the female dog tells Buck that she would "rather give it up to Garfield", referring to the cartoon cat.
    • In several episodes, it is shown that Kelly is a fan of the character.
  • Jefferson and Marcy mention that they had to play the card game, pinochle with Peggy during their honeymoon.
  • Jefferson tells Al that one of the residents in Tinuse wanted his BIC lighter in exchange for his sister.
    • A BIC lighter is a brand of disposable cigarette lighters made by French manufacturer, Bic.

Music[]

  • "Blues For A Dog" by B.B. King is heard in the scene where Buck wanders around the street and later during the credits.

Goofs[]

  • During Al's search for Hans, he found out that he had left Chuck's Cheese Bowl years before and after working for different restaurants, was back in Germany. Yet, when Hans finally appears at the Bundy house, he gives them the cheesecake in a Chuck's Cheese Bowl box.
  • After Al slams the door on Marcy and Jefferson and tells the kids that he wouldn't pay for a cheesecake, Marcy can be seen still looking in at them before smiling at Al's line and then turning to Jefferson and walking away.
  • Buck's age can be up for debate as this episode has him at 9 years old. However, Buck's age was 10 in the season 8 episode Assault and Batteries. That episode is more consistent with Buck's age as he was born in 1983.
