In a number of ways, this George Thorogood and the Destroyers' number is Al's theme song, and is used that way in episodes such as "A Man's Castle", when Al's stomach and tabasco sauce together drive Peg's interior decorating class from the house. Likewise, in "A Little Off the Top" when Al's stitches heal, he breaks out of the downstairs bathroom to this tune, and points Peggy upstairs. Even in England, wearing his old high school football gear, Al says, "Let's joust!" to this musical backdrop.

The Bundy barbecue also uses this as its call to arms.

TriviaEdit

  • Originally released in 1982, it didn't become widely known or popular until years later, when it was licensed to appear in movies, commercials and television shows, such as Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Christine and Problem Child.

Lyrics heard on the showEdit

On the day I was born

The nurses all gathered 'round

And they gazed in wide wonder

At the joy they had found

The head nurse spoke up

Said "leave this one alone"

She could tell right away

That I was bad to the bone

Bad to the bone

Bad to the bone

B-B-B-B-Bad

B-B-B-B-Bad

B-B-B-B-Bad

Bad to the bone

I broke a thousand hearts

Before I met you

I'll break a thousand more, baby

Before I am through

I wanna be yours, pretty baby

Yours and yours alone

I'm here to tell ya honey

That I'm bad to the bone

Bad to the bone

Bad to the bone

B-B-B-B-Bad

B-B-B-B-Bad

B-B-B-B-Bad

Bad to the bone
